Turn on Utilities

Applications can be filled out at City Hall, 207 S. Duke St., Monday-Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.  Must provide rent/lease agreement or owners papers, photo ID and Social Security Number.  Deposit is based on Online Utility Exchange Credit Check.  For more information contact City Hall at (706) 639-1504.

Get a Building Permit

Building Permits are issued from the Codes Office at 207 S. Duke Street.  Business hours are Monday-Friday,  8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.  For more information call (706) 639-1511.

Get a Business License

Business License are issued at City Hall.  Business hours are Monday-Friday, 8 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.  For more information call (706) 639-1504.

Get a Burning Permit

To get a burning permit, call the Fire Department between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. at (706) 639-1555. 

NO Permits will be issued on Sundays.  Our area is under a burning ban from May 1 to September 30.  No permits will be issued during that time.

You are responsible for knowing the Burning Restrictions.

Pay a Fine

Traffic fines and other citations can be paid Monday thru Friday 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Police Department.  Fines can also be mailed to the LaFayette Police Department at 208 N. Main Street, LaFayette, GA 30728.  Fines can be paid by cash, cashier's check, or money orders.  NO Personal checks.  For more information contact the Police Department at (706) 639-1540.
